Love. Hope. Kindness. Beauty.

I just read an article titled, "Kindness Revolution on the Web". The article cited a few websites that are all about sharing kind words, experiences that build hope and love, and validation of self and others.

hoperevo.com
you-are-beautiful.com
givesmehope.com
lovegivesmehope.com

Check them out. It was awesome to read all of the different things that were shared.

An Accounting Adventure

The last four days have been spent doing accounting homework and studying for the test. The best part of all the studying has been Dave. He's been an awesome help as we've worked on assignments the last few days and well from the start of the semester. He keeps things lighthearted and encourages me. He keeps me laughing and assures me that the people in my class who talk to me like I'm a "dumb blond" when I ask a question are just lame. (And they are.) I'm grateful that my mom, Dave, and Kevin are patient with me in this accounting adventure of mine!

Awesomely Interesting Words Of Hope

Today I've heard some awesomely, interesting words.
Getting real about Mr. Right- I read an article today on newsweek.com about not settling, but being realistic in dating. So true. Settling in dating and marriage not a wise choice. Being realistic and not too picky is wise. Know what you want and what's important for you, but don't be so caught up in a "list" of things you miss real, genuine opportunities. Get real about Mr. Right. I sometimes need to remind myself I am looking for Mr. Right, not Mr. Right Now.
Forgiveness is power- Today in my institute (religion) class we talked about forgiveness. There is power in forgiveness. That power comes through Jesus Christ. He will heal our hearts as we seek forgiveness and forgive.
Never a failure always a lesson- Rihanna was on Ellen today. One thing they talked about was Rihanna's tattoos. Rihanna showed her latest tattoo the words, "never a failure always a lesson". As Ellen asked her what it meant to her, Rihanna explained that it meant to always learn from our mistakes and to not repeat them.

Butterflies

I love love love butterflies. The detail of beauty, the softness of character. Have you ever looked closely to the colors and designs on the wings of butterflies? Look! God truly is the ultimate Creator and Maker. If He gives detailed-attention to creating these creatures among others, think of the detailed-attention He gives us. Am I giving Him my detailed-attention as I seek to love, obey, and serve Him? This is a question I believe we all ask ourselves often. I know He loves me. I know He is into the details of my life- all of them! Masaya Ang Aking Puso :)

A Post From A Picture

I decided for this post that I would pick a random picture and write about it. I love and miss these people I am photographed with. The top picture is the day I met my "nanay" in the mission. Sister Miguela. I remember standing in a classroom with my batch at the church as we were told who are companions were. Sister Miguela was patient and kind. She believed in me and wanted to help me be a good missionary. I was only with her for one transfer(six weeks), but am so grateful that she is my "nanay". Mahal kita ate!  The bottom picture is with my "nanay" and first "anak"- Sister Alburo. Sister Alburo was hardworking and helpful as well. She also took good care of me especially when I was really sick. She has a beautiful singing voice and was so willing to do what it took to be a good missionary.  The sister on the far left is Sister Fuentes. We became companions about six months after this transfer started. Sister Fuentes and I were only together for one transfer (six weeks), but we had a lot of success and fun too! I am grateful for each one of my companions. I learned a great deal from each one of them. I am grateful that I was able to serve with such awesome women.

Wanted:Ride Bike. Rock An Awesome. Pool Side.

It's been awhile since I've wanted summer this bad! I'm not kidding. The weirdest part about it is that I want to wear a vibrant swim suit and go for a swim! If you know me well you know that swimming is not one of my favorite activities, but I have a hankering for it. Most of all I want to ride my bike. Riding a bike in the winter is not something I want to do. I mean come on ice, cold and unclean air, this is not my idea of enjoying my bike. I particularly like enjoying each season, but as of now- I am not enjoying winter so much. This winter has been interestingly rough. I do enjoy my coats, scarfs, sweaters, and a cup of hot chocolate, but right now I'm wanting the hot season! I am wanting to ride my bike, rock an awesome swim suit, (I know this may sound vain, but it just makes the sentence flow so much better ;) and sip a coke or slushie pool side. I am sure a number of people would join me. I know Dave would. So, I am wanting summer and badly. Spring will be lovely I know, but summer I want, I want!
