A Favorite Christmas Song

One of my favorite Christmas songs is God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. This song testifies of the mission of our Savior and the importance of His atonement. One of my favorite lines is "to save us all from Satan's power". I know that through our Savior we can be saved from all things! I am so grateful to know He saves me! I know He loves me, I know He died for me and that He lives for me! This is the "tidings of comfort and joy"! Masaya Ang Aking Puso :)

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

In Bethlehem, in Israel,
This blessed Babe was born
And laid within a manger
Upon this blessed morn
The which His Mother Mary
Did nothing take in scorn
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed Angel came;
And unto certain Shepherds
Brought tidings of the same:
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by Name.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

"Fear not then," said the Angel,
"Let nothing you affright,
This day is born a Saviour
Of a pure Virgin bright,
To free all those who trust in Him
From Satan's power and might."
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

The shepherds at those tidings
Rejoiced much in mind,
And left their flocks a-feeding
In tempest, storm and wind:
And went to Bethlehem straightway
The Son of God to find.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

And when they came to Bethlehem
Where our dear Saviour lay,
They found Him in a manger,
Where oxen feed on hay;
His Mother Mary kneeling down,
Unto the Lord did pray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Now to the Lord sing praises,
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All other doth deface.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Pamilya ng Walang Hanggang

A few months ago we had some family pictures taken. These are some of them. They are unedited, but I still love them! They were taken by one talented-awesomely fun girl- Kristina! I am grateful-grateful for these people and that I get to be with them forever.

Randomness

This is at sunrise a couple of weeks ago. As I was driving to school this is part of the awesome sight! I pulled out my phone and snapped a quick picture. One of the advantages of 7:30 am classes is seeing the sunrise and how peaceful the mornings really are.
Here's a random picture of Kristina and I trying on the animal hats at Michael's. It doesn't seem to matter where we are we always find something random to try on and take a picture.
A couple of weeks ago I took some pictures of the leaves in my yard. This is one of them. I love the little touch of red scattered throughout the yellow-green.

Free From My Hair

Last Wednesday I cut my hair! Yes that's right cut not trim! I cut about 13 inches off. (I donated it to Locks of Love) I love the newness! I'm really enjoying having bangs and the ease of maintenance. I am grateful I did it! I really felt like it was time and so it was in a way easy. I knew earlier this year that turning 27 would be bring some awesome, faith building experiences. Cutting my hair is one of these awesome experiences! Masaya Ang Aking Puso :)

Preparing and Cooking Quail

A few weeks ago in my cooking class we prepared and cooked game birds-quail, Cornish hen, and duck. My team had quail. This is our result. I'll spare you the first steps of preparation, but let's just say I was brave. After those first few steps we rubbed the quail in olive oil and fresh herbs and stuffed them with a quarter of a lemon, we than put them in the oven.
They actually tasted quite good- not very gamy and the lemon had really absorbed into the meat. I tasted the duck it wasn't bad either. I enjoy trying new foods and am really loving this cooking class! I am getting out exactly what I want to from this class! I enjoy eating, but now I am really enjoying cooking!

Homemade Garden Pizza and Halloween

I love Halloween! This year I was a boxer. I have to admit I was inspired when I found these gloves in my basement and by Pacman (Manny Pacquiao). This is the back of my costume I have to admit I felt "tough" the whole night. ;)

Here's Kristina and I- ketchup and a boxer
Back in September- Kristina, Craig and I all made pizza with tomatoes, squash, and green peppers from the garden, fresh mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil. It was awesome! And to complete it- coke! (cherry, vanilla and lime)

Last week in my cooking class we made four different desserts with pumpkin we also craved pumpkins. This is a picture of mine.
