Here is a random picture of my and Kristina- like many times we matched! Great minds really do think alike. I am so grateful for her! She listens, laughs, understands, and helps me come up with all kinds of awesome ideas! Each Tuesday we go for some of these- Fish Tacos from Rubio's. If you have yet to try them, I suggest you go and soon! They have other awesome tacos like bacon and chicken and way good burritos! Slightly random post I know, but if you know me it fits. I'm random and talk about food more often than not ;)

Trusting. Hoping. Knowing The Best Is Yet To Come

"The issue for us is trusting God enough to trust also His timing. If
we can truly believe He has our welfare at heart, may we not let His plans
unfold as He thinks best? The same is true with the second coming and with
all those matters wherein our faith needs to include faith in the
Lord's timing for us personally, not just in His overall plans and
purposes." (Neal A. Maxwell, "Even As I Am" (1982), 93)

I came across this quote again today. This is something I've been thinking about a lot recently. My heart is hopeful. I am trusting Heavenly Father and know all will work out for my best. I am reminder myself that He is never early or late in fulfilling His promises. I know the best is yet to come! Ang pinkamaganda ay darating pa! I know it! I feel it! Moving in faith to do what He asks. Masaya Ang Aking Puso :)

Faith Is Key

This week I've been studying Elder Oaks' talk from General Conference. The talk is primarily focused on healing the sick, but I've been thinking about one part in particular near the end- understanding that it is important to have faith in Jesus Christ and to not depend on outcomes of whatever the struggle may be. Knowing Jesus Christ brings peace and happiness to life. Faith is key. Masaya ang aking puso :)

Tulip Teaching

About a month ago Kristina and I went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It was awesome! There were many varieties of colors and classes of tulips and with other flowers scattered throughout. It was not crowded and was a peaceful afternoon spent chatting, laughing, taking pictures, and enjoying the beauty of the gardens. The top picture is from The Secret Garden. It was so peaceful in there. I took a few minutes and sat down and just enjoyed the beauty and pondered a few things. I pulled out my little notebook and jotted down a few things. I had an overwhelming reassurance that God loves me, that He cares for me and is fully aware of everything in my life. I feel the realness of His love daily and am so grateful for my knowledge of Him and of His Son. I am so grateful for my relationship with Them, the comfort and strength because of the knowledge and love of Them brings each day. Masaya Ang Aking Puso :)

A Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I had a happy and fun cinco de mayo! Kristina and I eat fish tacos at Rubio's so good! (see picture above) Later we made strawberry-lime margaritas--without a mix. Best way to do it (less sugar) they were way yummy! We enjoyed them and the rest of the evening with Dave and Kevin. After our margaritas we went hot tubbing and later played the card game threes. The hot tubbing was nice! I was way excited to wear my new swim suit and just relax. We had an awesome time laughing and talking. I am so grateful for awesome friends-- that let me be me, are sincere, and fun-loving people.

A Walk In The Springness

Yesterday afternoon a bunch of us went for a walk. The weather was lovely and the company great! Kristina wanted to get a some shots of the amazing spring flowers and budding trees. She got some awesome shots. I actually took two pictures. The two pictures in this post. Kristina and I have a thing for sunglasses-big ones! We also love to take our fair share of sunglass shots.
I am so ready for this warm, sunny weather it has been too long! Living in Alaska was amazing, but I really missed the hot weather. Everything is blooming and beautiful! I've been able to ride my bike throughout the week- I love love love it!

Bike.Talk. People Watch.Welcome.

I love riding my bike! I went for an awesome bike ride Saturday with Daniel. I had a good time laughing and talking with him. Minutes ago, I came in from another bike ride with Mary. I love that the sun is shining and that the spring flowers are out in all their color. If you haven't looked at Mount Timpanogos for awhile I suggest that you do! It is beautiful! I am so grateful to live in a beautiful place! One way I feel God's love is through the many creations. Yesterday, I spent two and half hours talking with Dave on campus. It was nice to just sit and talk. Campus is a great place to people watch too. The semester is wrapping up and I am ready for new classes to begin. This semester has flown by. I've enjoyed it, but I am ready for a change. I will be attending summer and just move right on through into the fall. This will be the first time I've done summer semester, but I am excited to get more done. I have two classes with Dave this summer and four with him in fall. He's a great study buddy. Believe it or not we get a lot of homework done through the laughing and playing. The bff is now officially all moved in. Welcome to P-town Kristina! I am so excited to have you live so close! I am enjoying spring! Are you?
