A Walk In The Springness

Yesterday afternoon a bunch of us went for a walk. The weather was lovely and the company great! Kristina wanted to get a some shots of the amazing spring flowers and budding trees. She got some awesome shots. I actually took two pictures. The two pictures in this post. Kristina and I have a thing for sunglasses-big ones! We also love to take our fair share of sunglass shots.
I am so ready for this warm, sunny weather it has been too long! Living in Alaska was amazing, but I really missed the hot weather. Everything is blooming and beautiful! I've been able to ride my bike throughout the week- I love love love it!

Bike.Talk. People Watch.Welcome.

I love riding my bike! I went for an awesome bike ride Saturday with Daniel. I had a good time laughing and talking with him. Minutes ago, I came in from another bike ride with Mary. I love that the sun is shining and that the spring flowers are out in all their color. If you haven't looked at Mount Timpanogos for awhile I suggest that you do! It is beautiful! I am so grateful to live in a beautiful place! One way I feel God's love is through the many creations. Yesterday, I spent two and half hours talking with Dave on campus. It was nice to just sit and talk. Campus is a great place to people watch too. The semester is wrapping up and I am ready for new classes to begin. This semester has flown by. I've enjoyed it, but I am ready for a change. I will be attending summer and just move right on through into the fall. This will be the first time I've done summer semester, but I am excited to get more done. I have two classes with Dave this summer and four with him in fall. He's a great study buddy. Believe it or not we get a lot of homework done through the laughing and playing. The bff is now officially all moved in. Welcome to P-town Kristina! I am so excited to have you live so close! I am enjoying spring! Are you?

No Racing Silly Girl

It’s not a race.
Today I sweet friend reminded me that things in life are not a race. We were specifically talking about marriage and having families. I love the opportunities and things that I have in my life right now, but I know there is something more- something that will only add to my happiness and the awesomeness of life’s journey. It is not a race to get married, have children, graduate college, buy a house, or anything else that sometimes appears like a competition. Life is not a race. Thanks Dave for the reminder :)

"Better a silly girl with a flower, than a silly boy with a horse and a stick."
I think of this quote when I am acting like a “silly” girl. Not the fun silly, but the why am I feeling crazy jealous or I must be more into him than I thought cause the thought of him with someone else makes me “crazy”.

Shredder! Today while Dave and I were studying on campus a girl walked by with huge holes and runs in her jeans and Dave called her shredder. He then told me that over the weekend one of his buddy’s was a on date and his date had “shredded” jeans and another buddy called her Shredder.

I know this is a rather random post, but enjoy!

Fun With Jessica

On Saturday I went to the Miss Spanish Fork pageant with my friend Jessica. It was so much fun laughing and playing with Jessica! I can't even remember the last time we did something. No matter how much time seems to past Jessica and I remain great friends with lots to talk about. She is the mother of two cute, fun kids. It's great to see friends make good choices and remain a positive influence for good in life. I am so grateful for true friends, who know me, love me, encourage me, and are there for me.

Fills-The-Face-Smile

Today, I had an accounting test. This was not a fun or pleasant experience. As I was completing my test a smile I greatly appreciate came in. There was Dave with his big, fills-his-face-smile. It was a great stress reliever to see a smiling face during a rather frustrating experience. Thanks Dave for your encouragement and smile during the happy and not-so-happy situations. I have to admit I thought of the Bad English song, "When I See You Smile". I know this is a song from one of the "hair bands" of the 80s, but it's a good one ;) If you want to see some great "hair band" hair from them check out the video on youtube. Here's a few lines:

"Every thing's all right
When I see you smile
I can face the world
Oh you know I can do anything"
Do smiles cheer and lift you too? I hope so!:)

Yahoo it!

Anytime I say I need to Goggle something or tell Dave to this is his response, "No Yahoo-it". I have to admit saying, "Yahoo-it" over "Goggle-it" is a little more fun. So, next time you need to search something on the internet or your telling someone else to say, "Yahoo-it" instead and enjoy the reaction and the neatness of saying, "Yahoo-it"!
