It's been awhile since I've wanted summer this bad! I'm not kidding. The weirdest part about it is that I want to wear a vibrant swim suit and go for a swim! If you know me well you know that swimming is not one of my favorite activities, but I have a hankering for it. Most of all I want to ride my bike. Riding a bike in the winter is not something I want to do. I mean come on ice, cold and unclean air, this is not my idea of enjoying my bike. I particularly like enjoying each season, but as of now- I am not enjoying winter so much. This winter has been interestingly rough. I do enjoy my coats, scarfs, sweaters, and a cup of hot chocolate, but right now I'm wanting the hot season! I am wanting to ride my bike, rock an awesome swim suit, (I know this may sound vain, but it just makes the sentence flow so much better ;) and sip a coke or slushie pool side. I am sure a number of people would join me. I know Dave would. So, I am wanting summer and badly. Spring will be lovely I know, but summer I want, I want!

I Am Happy And Hopeful (Not New)
So I wasn't going to do the whole write about resolutions for the new year, what I'm looking forward to, but I can't help it- it's on my mind. This year will be full of adventures! I know it! I am hopeful of it! (This is not a sana this will be a good year, it's umaasa good year) Last night we had Chinese food my fortune cookie had this message inside. "A dream will come true when you least expect it." Now believing in "fortunes" is not something I do, but I love what this one said, cause I believe it's true! A dream and dreams of mine continue to unfold and opportunities are presented. This past summer I lived a dream I have had since I was a young girl- live in Alaska! I am so excited and hopeful for the adventures small or big that will be in 2010! I am grateful for the small and big adventures and many different experiences I've had over the past year. I've learned more about me, God's love, and the true impact people can have on our lives. I developed many new friendships this past year. I hope those people know that I learned and am learning many things from the time we spend together. I learned more than ever this past year that truth really is found in all things. That knowing me and being grateful for who I am and always have been (one true self) is vital and awesome! (Thanks Guy- "when the student is ready to learn the master appears") I am grateful for my many friends from my AK experience. Maddie and Lindsay I could not have had better neighbors thank you for listening and laughing with me and helping me feel at home! Alison I am so grateful for your friendship I am so glad that you, your sisters, and Angie helped me feel at home too! Jerrikah all I can say is you make me laugh and you're the best! Mark you are crazy and sweet I'm glad we are friends! I know I could go on and on about the new people I met, but for now I will end. Life is amazingly awesome! I feel so blessed! I am grateful! Rainbow
Recently I bought Colbie Caillat's latest album. It is enjoyable. She is an awesome song writer. This song 'Rainbow' I really like and feel that it expresses some of what I sometimes feel. Music is a very powerful thing. (Take the time to check out Colbie's new album)
RainbowBy: Colbie Caillat
I'm still feelin the rain fall
And bouncin off my skin
How long do I have to wait for
The sun to shine again
Come on paint me the rainbows
I can follow it
I don't know where it'll take me
But I like wonderin
Wherever you are
Where will you be
Are you the same or
Dreamin after waitin only for me
Waiting for love
Waiting for the same or
Dreamin on the other side
Hoping no matter how far I'll find my way to you
Followin a rainbow
I'm gonna stop in the middle
Hang my feet off the edge
I got no reason to worry
I know I'll find the end
That's where you'll be waiting
I hope you don't forget
That I won't quit till I find you
No matter the risk
Wherever you are
Where will you be
Are you the same or
Dreamin after waiting only for me
Waiting for love
Waiting for the same or
Dreamin on the other side hoping that
No matter how far I'll find my way to you
Followin a rainbow
Stuck in my mind
I'm wasting time
I'm still on my own
I never thought that I would find my way
Into the light
Dreamin to find
Who ever you are
Wherever you are
Where will you be
Are you the same or
Dreamin on the other side waiting for me
Waiting for love
Waiting for the same or
Dreamin on the other side hoping that
No matter how far I'll find my way to you
Followin a rainbow
Ooohooohooohooooh yea yea yea...
I know we're gonna find it
I know we're gonna find it
I'm never gonna let you go
I know I'm gonna find you
I know I'm gonna find you
I won't let you go
I'm still feelin the rain fall
And bouncin off my skin
How long do I have to wait for

Writing the Wetzler Way
It has been a good while since I last posted anything. This snowing weather really makes me feel like writing. It's interesting how some posts of mine are simple, silly, light hearted as well as serious. That's me! Though I am much more silly and light hearted than I am serious. I have decided to take Mr. Wetzler's idea of writing and use it. His idea- his way of writing is to just write don't erase, don't go back and see if it makes sense or needs a different word- just write. And so dear friends I will just write. I have many things on my mind- family, school, church responsibilities, the weather, returning to the AK, whether or not to take Japanese next semester, my new boots, health, and well a few guys. (I'd be lying if I said there was only one I was thinking about) Now some of these are "normal" or "everyday" things and it doesn't mean I am thinking about them and being all weighed down. Nope that's not it. I am just thinking, taking time to evaluate how I feel, how I can become more of the woman I dream. I know for sure with my heart and with my head that God loves me and that He will and is helping me become the woman I want and need to be. Some of these things on my mind will come and go like my new boots, one of the guys, the weather, the Japanese class. And you know what? It's totally okay and for the best that I don't sit on some of those somewhat "trivial" things. Either way I know Heavenly Father thinks they're important cause they're important to me. Let me tell you about the Japanese class. I love Asia! I would love to learn another language from that part of the world. Now, I know that learning Spanish may be the more practical language for me to take, but I would love to learn some Japanese. One day I'll return to the Philippines and when I do I will be making a stop in Japan and attending a Japanese baseball game. This is not the whole reason for me to learn this language. I want the challenge and the uniqueness of speaking two Asian languages. I feel nervousness, yet excitement in the challenge of learning a new language that is so totally different. Lately, I've also been doing a lot of thinking about whether or not to return to the AK to work for the summer. I loved it! I would love to return, but there are also some things I did miss about being home. It's still a little early to make a decision either way. I am excited for the experiences yet to come and for the ones I've had and the ones I'm having now. I am learning and understanding more and more. I am grateful for a loving Father in Heaven who gives me opportunities to grow and to understand what it means to truly be happy. Masaya Ang Aking Puso :)
